KUPANG, fortuna.press – The opening ceremony of Tour de Entete 2025 was held by the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Melki Laka Lena, on September 9, 2025, at the Sasando Building courtyard of the NTT Governor’s Office.
The first stage of the tour, covering a distance of 258 km, started on September 10, 2025, from Kupang City to Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency. A total of 78 cyclists from 13 countries participated in this stage.
The Governor of NTT hopes that this event will promote the natural beauty, marine, and cultural heritage of NTT, as well as boost the economy and introduce NTT to the national and global community.
The tour will take place from September 10 to 21, 2025, covering three major islands in NTT, namely Timor, Sumba, and Flores, with a total distance of 1,500 km.
The cyclists will ride through exotic landscapes, experience the local culture, and enjoy the hospitality of the people of East Nusa Tenggara.
The event is organized by PT Jelajah Sport, with 17 teams from 13 countries participating, including the Philippines, China, Malaysia, Iran, Algeria, Egypt, Slovenia, Australia, England, France, Netherlands, Indonesia, and Timor Leste. (team/fidel/ 42na)
